Chewy
A Very Verbose Description

Chewie, full name Chewbacca is a dog. Although his namesake was originally in spite of his appearance, this is no longer true. He is a very small, very light furred dog; a stark contrast against the towering, dark furred beast of a particular historically significant and distant galaxy. The rich brown, black, and orange tones he wore in his infancy are now largely gone. Especially after a close haircut, his fur shows very little in terms of color; nearly white, although more accurately the color of dry sand. As his soft fur grows long however, hints of his previous saturated orange hues begin to emerge. This occurs especially on his ears, which the fur of are kept quite long. It is also noticeable on his tail, facial features, and even his back, though not quite as much.
Standing no more than two feet tall on his hind legs, his stature is certainly within the lowest percentiles of canine height. It can be quite easy to trip over the tiny creature. From the neck down, his proportions are as expected for a dog of his small size. His face is different as the fur around his face is sculpted by the groomer to not reveal his hilarious facial structure. By giving him a bath and soaking his fur, one can reveal the true profile of his body and face. He becomes not only smaller yet, but his tiny skull and bulging eye sockets are revealed. His eye sockets might very well bulge from his skull by the radius of his eyeball. If one wanted to crudely recreate his face using primitive three dimensional shapes, they would only need a sphere for the head, two smaller spheres that breach the surface of the larger sphere to make eyes, and an ellipsoid for the snout. The fur on his snout droops down to create a mustache-like structure behind his black nose. Thick prickly whiskers grow prominently from the rest of the fur on his snout and brow, and tear stains goop up the interior sides of his eyelids. The fur above his lips is darkened from constant licking.
Two tufts of fur tastefully arch over each of his eyes, almost acting as eyebrows. His face is quite emotive due to this. Additionally, his large brown eyes are quite expressive and animated. While looking straight on, his pupils and irises are large enough that the whites of his eyes are not visible. If he does begin to deviate the orientation of his eyeballs, the whites of his eyes come out from behind his eyelids. This is what makes his eyes so expressive looking to humans, since the whites of the eye, in relation to the pupil and iris, is subconsciously calculated by the human brain to determine the direction of gaze… Quite accurately in fact, compared to most other animals. Anyway, Chewie like all dogs will make eye contact with humans though sometimes, an interesting and adorable behavior emerges when attempting eye contact with him. He will have his head turned away turned away from the watcher, but give brief side-glances (making eye contact) before looking away in a periodic fashion. It’s almost as if he feels awkward and uncomfortable. Keep in mind, this is with his ‘eyebrows’ moving as well. Of course, awkwardness is likely not an emotion that dogs are able to appreciate, but it’s an interesting and anthropomorphic behavior nonetheless.
Upon petting Chewie, one can’t help but notice how soft and fine his fur is. If he’s really in the mood to be pet, he might gingerly and slowly fall to his side before rolling over reveal his belly while curling up front paws and splaying his hind legs. His belly is even softer. Chewy doesn’t mind being picked up, or laying down on his back. When he wants to be put back on the ground, his eyes point to the ground, once again emotively, making him look panicked. He’s not though. He will confidently jump off structures twice his hind-legged height. Despite his small size, he manages climbing (or jumping) onto chairs, couches, and beds just fine. He is not outlawed from these furniture items on account of his inability to shed fur and overall potty-trained status. He seems to enjoy snuggling at certain times, but always end up at the foot of the bed, or the opposite end of the couch where he has all of the space to himself. If he’s particularly excited for one’s arrival home, he might urinate. If not, he will grab one of his soft fabric toys and lead you to the couch where he will stand on your lap with his front paws on your chest and hold his toy in your face and wag his tail. He’ll also pace around your lap a bit until you throw his toy for him. Chewie is truly one of the dogs of all time.
